FOTO'S: Ferrari viert Le Mans-overwinning in de straten van Maranello
De Ferrari 499P Hypercar in handen van Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado en Antonio Giovinazzi won bij haar debuut op het Circuit de la Sarthe direct de 24 uur van Le Mans. Daarmee heeft De Ferrari 275 LM die in 1965 als laatste van het automerk de algemene overwinning pakte, eindelijk een opvolger gekregen en voegde Ferrari een tiende overwinning aan haar palmares toe. In Maranello werd de overwinning dan ook uitgebreid gevierd.
Alle zes coureurs waren aanwezig bij een speciale parade die gedurende de dag in Maranello werd gehouden, waarbij ook Ferrari-bestuursvoorzitter John Elkann aanwezig was. De twee hypercars werden samen met de 24 uur van Le Mans-trofee na de parade tentoongesteld in de fabriek.
