McLaren heeft de de McLaren 720S GT3 Evo onthuld. Met deze bolide gaat het Britse merk de strijd aan in de nieuwe LMGT3-klasse van het FIA World Endurance Championship. Niemand minder dan directeur Zak Brown kondigde de auto aan.
De auto gaat in het FIA WEC ingezet worden door United Autosports, die de afgelopen jaren actief was in de LMP2-klasse van het kampioenschap. Het team waar overigens Zak Brown ook mede-eigenaar van is.
